The actual number of Kyrgyzstan gambling halls is a fact in a little doubt. As info from this state, out in the very remote interior section of Central Asia, can be hard to acquire, this may not be too bizarre. Whether there are two or 3 accredited casinos is the element at issue, perhaps not really the most all-important article of information that we don't have.

The country, in common with practically all of the ex-Soviet Union, has undergone something of a fast adjustment to free-enterprise system. The Wild East, you might say, to allude to the chaotic ways of the Wild West a century and a half ago.

Kyrgyzstan's gambling dens are certainly worth going to, therefore, as a piece of anthropological analysis, to see money being bet as a type of communal one-upmanship, the aristocratic consumption that Thorstein Veblen spoke about in 19th century u.s.a..
